18. Versioning

Contents of ATD 0.1
  • The header atd <major>.<minor> is the one construct every version keeps; a reader selects the grammar by it (section 5.4).
  • While ATD is 0.x, a minor version MAY change any construct. Each released minor's grammar is kept under grammar/<version>/, and the draft's in grammar/.
  • Every description in this repository is checked under its declared version, and, before a new version is released, under the new one (FR-102): a description that fails under the new version is changed, or the version is.
  • From 1.0 on, a change that makes a valid description invalid or changes its meaning is a major version.
